The activation at KFC Goondiwindi successfully promoted the limited-time Fried Cookie Dough Balls, running during the Queensland school holidays with strong family engagement. Our on-air team broadcast live from 10am–1pm, generating excitement and encouraging families to visit the store for pick-up.
Giveaways included Breeze merchandise and a remote control car, with entry facilitated via QR codes handed out at the drive-through and in-store. Sampling of the product was not allocated; however, our team purchased Fried Cookie Dough Balls to sample during each hour at the 30-minute mark, ensuring listeners could experience the product first-hand.
The campaign leveraged KFC’s positioning as the new dessert king in town, emphasizing the “warm, gooey, mouth-watering, choc-chip magic” of the Fried Cookie Dough Balls at an affordable price ($2.95 for three).
The combination of live activation, product sampling, engaging giveaways, and interactive on-air content successfully drove awareness of the limited-time dessert, in-store and online. Feedback from staff and listeners indicated strong engagement, and the campaign effectively capitalised on the school holiday period to attract families to KFC Goondiwindi.
