KFC Karaoke on The Breeze

Radio Station: The Breeze
Date of Activation: October 2025

Overview

To spotlight KFC Goondiwindi, The Breeze ran a two week interactive on-air promotion called KFC Karaoke, giving listeners the chance to “sing for their supper” and win one of ten KFC Family Feasts.

Week one promoted the competition to get listeners calling and week two, 2 lucky listeners got to play along live on-air each day. Jodie played part of a well-known hit, cutting the track just before the next lyric. If the listener could sing or say the next line correctly, they scored themselves a delicious KFC Family Feast—crispy chicken, golden sides, and that unmistakable KFC flavour the whole family loves.

On-Air Integration

  • Aired weekdays from 4–6pm on The Breeze Drive
  • Each segment featured real listener interaction, adding humour and personality to the show.
  • On-air mentions and liners promoted both the KFC Goondiwindi store and the new fried cookie dough product.
  • Listeners were directed to breeze.radio to register for their chance to play.

Client Alignment

The promotion coincided with the launch of KFC’s fried cookie dough—three warm, gooey, choc-chip treats for under $3. This tie-in reinforced KFC’s fun, indulgent, and family-friendly brand image while driving awareness of the new menu item.

Summary

The KFC Karaoke on The Breeze campaign successfully combined music, audience participation, and irresistible rewards to drive local engagement and in-store activity for KFC Goondiwindi.

It was fun, fast, and finger-lickin’ effective — turning listeners into singers and songs into sales.
